How long does my blood sample last, and is it safe to transport?
Yes, your blood sample is completely safe to transport. Once it’s drawn and centrifuged by the pathology lab (a standard pathology procedure), the clear serum is stable at room temperature for over a week, can be refrigerated for 3 weeks and even frozen for months.
